Angelo Gordon Signs UN-supported Principles For Responsible Investment
November 29, 2021
Angelo Gordon has become a signatory to the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) underlining the firm’s commitment to incorporating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into its investment process.
The PRI was launched in 2005 with the support of the United Nations and is an international global network of asset managers, owners and service providers working together to put responsible investment into practice. The principles, which are voluntary, aim to provide a framework for integrating environmental, social and corporate governance considerations into investment decision-making and ownership practices.
About the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI):
The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of ESG factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. The six principles for responsible investment were developed with the backing of the United Nations. The PRI acts in the long-term interests of its signatories, of the financial markets and economies in which they operate and ultimately of the environment and society as a whole.
