Angelo Gordon is Proud to Support Arche
3月 9, 2022
In recognition of International Women’s Day 2022, Arche – a dedicated network for women in real estate that was founded by Angelo Gordon team member Cubby Sporrong – commented on the growth of its community thus far and its focus moving forward.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, Arche – a network for women in real estate – would like to thank the many individuals who have supported its mission and welcome those not yet familiar to join its growing community.
Arche aims to connect women who are in the first decade of their real estate careers and provide them with the network and resources critical for long-term success. Founded in May 2020, the organization was born out of a desire to keep women connected and engaged.
“The objective was to create a dedicated community for women in real estate – a platform through which we could connect on both a personal and professional level, discussing everything from our experiences and goals to ideas and dealmaking,” said Cubby Sporrong, Founder of Arche and a member of Angelo Gordon’s U.S. Real Estate team. “Arche started out as a small group getting together for regular video meetings, and we quickly grew in size and scope. It has been incredibly rewarding to see so many people invite peers and colleagues, build relationships, and benefit from our events.”
To date, Arche has welcomed 150 members from 50+ different firms and, with the support of several corporate sponsors, held 15 events spanning virtual forums and in-person gatherings in New York and Los Angeles.
“Arche’s focus on supporting women in real estate and fostering the next generation of leaders in the space is something we are proud to stand behind, and we have been thrilled to support their fantastic work as a sponsor,” said Adam Schwartz, Co-CEO and Head of Real Estate at Angelo Gordon.
In addition to group meetings and breakout sessions, the organization has hosted a guest speaker series featuring a number of executive coaches and leaders in the real estate industry, including Mosaic Real Estate Credit Co-Founder Vicky Schiff, Savills Board Member Dana Roffman, Senior Lecturer of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and Founder of Areté Capital Nori Gerardo Lietz, and Eastdil Secured Managing Directors Kristen Gannon and Steve Silk, among others.
“Throughout my career, I have benefited from having great mentors to turn to, so being able to lend my support to a group like Arche and join them as a speaker was a truly wonderful experience,” said Vicky Schiff. “When I was starting out in the real estate industry, there were not a lot of women – and certainly not a formalized network of my young peers to turn to. Having a platform like this for women in the industry today is phenomenal.”
Moving forward, Arche is committed to continuing to grow its network and offer opportunities for its members to come together, share knowledge and experiences, and support one another via in-person meetings, guest speaker sessions, and volunteer work aimed at promoting diversity in real estate.
